banks Brass Band
formed in 1875

ABOUT US
Banks Brass Band was formed in 1875 in the village of Banks, 5 miles north of Southport in Lancashire, England. We are a traditional English village brass band and we perform at a variety of events within the village and throughout Lancashire.
For well over a hundred years Banks Brass Band has provided the musical accompaniment to life in and around our village. Throughout its history the Band has been extremely fortunate to receive the enthusiastic support of local people, both as players and supporters. It is our ambition that this tradition should flourish well into the future.
Our members are very proud of the fact that the Band has always had strong family connections. Some families have been involved with the Band since its formation in 1875! Today there are still plenty of families with several members in the Band.

New Players

We are a friendly, non-contesting village band and always welcome new players to our happy band. We are particularly keen to welcome players of the bigger instruments - basses, trombones etc. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings in Banks Leisure Centre. Please contact us for details or come along and enjoy a practice with us.
